Emergency Care
Sandhills Emergency Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) provide care to patients presenting to FirstHealth Emergency Departments*. Physicians are specially trained in Emergency Medicine, and are either board certified or board eligible for the American Board of Emergency Medicine (or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine). APPs provide care supervised by a physician.
Patient Accounts
Following your emergency room visit you will receive a bill from Sandhills Emergency Physicians, PA for the professional services rendered by our physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. You may also receive a separate bill from other providers involved in your care.
As of June 1, 2019, Sandhills Emergency Physicians, PA works with Duva-Sawko to manage patient accounts. For inquiries regarding services provided by Sandhills Emergency Physicians, contact Duva-Sawko at (888) 311-8760, 9:00am – 4:00pm EST Monday through Friday.
For inquiries regarding services provided PRIOR to June 1, 2019, please contact McKesson/Change Healthcare at (866) 898-7012, 9:00am – 4:00pm EST Monday through Friday.

Collections
If your account is delinquent, it may have been referred to our collection agency.

Medical Records
Emergency department records are maintained by FirstHealth. You may request medical records by contacting FirstHealth at (910) 715-1000 and asking for Medical Records.
You can also access your medical records via MyChart on the FirstHealth website.
