Military Assignments
Chief, Department of Emergency Medicine, Womack Army Medical Center Fort Bragg, NC
Long term strategic, and day to day, management of Department of Emergency Medicine with over 75,000 visits and 6,000 EMS calls.  Approximately 15-20 percent of ED visits are pediatrics.  Responsible for over 130 combined military, civilian, and contract personnel and all department budgets.  Serve on Executive Committee of the Medical Center Staff, Risk Management, Graduate Medical Education, and Medical Center performance Improvement committees.  Developing long term plan for Department as beneficiary population expands, including a doubling of ED space.  Prior positions include:  EMS Medical Director and Assistant Chief.

Squadron Surgeon, 4th Squadron, 7th US Calvary, Camp Stanton Korea.
Responsible for advising the Commander and performing medical planning for a combat unit of over 800 personnel with both rotary wing and ground assets.  Supervised and managed the operation of wo primary care clinics, a medical supplies budget in excess of $90,000, one Physician Assistant, and 28 Medics.

In depth involvement in the establishment of the Department of Quality Assessment.  This department conducted publication quality, in-depth, instrument and measure development and reporting of both Outcomes Measures and Patient Satisfaction.  Extensive work on Emergency Department patient satisfaction measures and quality assessment.
