Beginnings: Sandhills Emergency Physicians started as a 5-member physician group in 1991. It provided coverage to Moore Regional Hospital, a well-recognized specialty hospital.
Current: The group has expanded to 32 full- and part-time physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers. SEP provides coverage at 4 separate facilities each with a unique patient population:
MRH-Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst
RMH-Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham
MMH-Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy
HCH-Hoke County Hospital (Moore Regional Hospital – Hoke Campus) in Raeford
FirstHealth of the Carolinas is the corporate umbrella that unifies these facilities into a regional healthcare system.
